The girls have a cute cookbook called Fairies Cookbook by Barbara Beery. Barbara is local and runs a cooking school for children called Batter Up Kids. One of the girls had her 4th birthday party at Batter Up and we've been collecting cookbooks ever since. Chicken Salad Recipe
I love to make chicken salad with left-over chicken. I feel so efficient and full of bang-for-my-buck. And given the current financial crunch I am all about making multiple meals out of one! Truth be told, it never occurred to me that I had an option. Making dinner is just one of my daily joys and I'm so passionate about everything food related that I naturally assumed the rest of the world shared my obsession. As with ...
Kids Cook: Mr. A’s Smoothies
At the end of second grade last year, Brother's class had a reading party. The kids brought pillows, wore extra comfy clothes and after recess they piled up and read for the rest of the day. It was awesome to see these precious, emerging readers curled up with their chapter books lost in the joy of reading. Mr. A was always doing cool stuff like reading parties. And I will be forever grateful for the love of learning he helped ...
